Aquatic Ecosystem Health Assessment of Poyang Lake through Extension Evaluation Method

Freshwater lakes encounter a series of problems, such as decline in lake water quality, sharp decrease biodiversity, and ecological degradation. As such, lacustrine studies by highly skilled professionals managers with resources at home abroad have focused on assessing the aquatic ecosystem health status lakes. In this study, largest freshwater China (Poyang Lake) was assessed, its temporal spatial characteristics were illustrated. The index contained three element layers, including hydrologic characteristics, trophic status, organisms. classified into categories: ‘good’, ‘moderate’ (subhealthy), ‘bad’. It examined through extension evaluation method. Results showed whereas remarkable seasonal spatially variations. annual changes remarkably due to influence complex hydrological hydrodynamic conditions. This study provides an overall understanding Poyang Lake. Such is vital for environmental conservation identification causes degradation
